Research, design and critical thinking
If you received a pre-university (vwo) recommendation in primary school, you will join the vwo class. You will then participate in the Eureka program one afternoon per week. In the first year, you will take the modules philosophy, research, and design.
Philosophy
During a philosophy module, for example, the topic might be influence. To what extent are you consciously or unconsciously influenced by others when making decisions? How do you deal with that? In research, your own sense of wonder is central at first. From there, you formulate research questions and start looking for answers.
Design
Creativity plays a major role in design. Coming up with solutions to problems and then shaping them, or working on completely new forms. We pay a lot of attention to working independently, collaborating, organizing, and presenting. These skills are important in pre-university education and beyond. Want to see more?
