Olympiade School
Stimulation of individual talent within the school
C.S.G. Portus Groene Hart is officially an Olympiad School. This means that students at the school are actively encouraged to participate in olympiads. These are national competitions for subjects such as mathematics, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, and philosophy. Sometimes there is also a follow-up at the international level.
Extra challenge
Some objectives of an Olympiad school are to stimulate individual talent within the school and to create talent awareness at the national and international level. The Olympiad school is one of the opportunities the school has to further challenge and encourage students to develop their talents in these areas. In addition to being excellent promotion for the subjects involved, the Olympiads are also good preparation for the exams. Students in the lower grades can also participate in various Olympiads.
